PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS

This is an educational, informational and networking program which reaches out to our EWG parent community.  We offer workshops on various topics to support you as you navigate this adolescent developmental period in your child’s life.

In addition to varied topics on school-wide programs and policies such as anti-bullying, cyberbullying, internet safety, developmental stages of adolescence, parental resources, etc., please view the videos noted below from"The Student  Voice."  This talk show is facilitated by our senior and junior high students which provides their perspectives on life in the junior high.

Research continues to prove that all high performing school systems have involved and dedicated parents working towards the success of their children. We appreciate all of your collaborative and on-going efforts because according to an ol’ African proverb,
“it takes a village to raise a child” …

THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A SPECIAL PART OF OUR EWG COMMUNITY!

SOCIAL MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY:

The presentation of this nationally acclaimed documentary entitled, "SCREENAGERS", is about a family who delved into the aspects of the complex world of social media and technology in their efforts to keep their 13 year old daughter safe and well-balanced.  It includes the latest research on this media's impact on a student's brain development, behavior and academics.  All of our 6, 7 and 8 graders viewed the film on separate dates during the school days; and, our parent community was invited to the initial showing of the film.  Open discussions followed each presentation.  For more information, please go to www.screenagersmovie.com
